10 Minute Maple Walnut Crusted Salmon

  • 3/4 cup walnuts chopped finely
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp chipotle seasoning
  • 1 tsp stone ground mustard
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil

For the fish:

  • 2 4 oz salmon filets
  • 1-2 tbsp grapeseed oil or ghee

  • Preheat oven to 425F.
  • In a small bowl, add the ingredients for the crust and mix together until combined.
  • Wash and pat dry salmon filets. Using a spoon, add the crust mixture on top of the salmon and pat until completely covered.
  • In an oven-safe skillet over medium high heat, add grapeseed oil and heat until the oil gets hot. Place crusted salmon filets skin side down and sear, without moving, for two minutes.
  • After two minutes, move the entire pan to the oven and bake at 425F for 5-8 minutes, depending on desired done-ness of the fish. Enjoy hot.
