Is there a better combination than mint and chocolate? I don’t think so. This is exactly why I knew I had to share my Mint Chocolate Chip Smoothie with Matcha, Fresh Mint and Cacao recipe with you today. It’s literally like having dessert for breakfast because it’s so spot on to the traditional ice cream flavor. If you have picky eaters at home, this is a perfect recipe for kids to get in some nutrients while maintaining a deliciously sweet flavor. As the weather warms up, I know I’ll be reaching for a big glass of this refreshing smoothie weekly this Summer. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 1 large handful spinach
- 1/3 cup fresh mint leaves
- 2 dates
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 1 tsp Morning Ritual matcha
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- Protein powder of choice
- Almond milk
- Ice
- 2 tbsp cacao nibs
Instructions
- Add all ingredients, except for the cacao nibs to a blender. I added in about 1/2 cup of milk and 1/2 cup of ice cubes, but this is dependent on your desired consistency. Blend until smooth and combined.
- Once blended, add in the cacao nibs and pulse a few times until they’re smaller chips. Enjoy cold.
