Add olive oil, garlic, sliced lemon and red pepper flakes to a large pan on the stove over medium high heat. Sauté until the lemons begin to caramelize and the garlic is fragrant.
Add the additional ingredients. Once boiling, stir and move around the ingredients. Stirring consistently, cook according to package directions. For me, this was about 12 minutes.
The pasta will be finished when the water has nearly all evaporated and creates a starchy sauce.
Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with red pepper flakes, basil and olive oil.
