10 Minute Maple Walnut Crusted Salmon
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup walnuts chopped finely
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp chipotle seasoning
- 1 tsp stone ground mustard
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1-2 tbsp olive oil
For the fish:
- 2 4 oz salmon filets
- 1-2 tbsp grapeseed oil or ghee
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425F.
- In a small bowl, add the ingredients for the crust and mix together until combined.
- Wash and pat dry salmon filets. Using a spoon, add the crust mixture on top of the salmon and pat until completely covered.
- In an oven-safe skillet over medium high heat, add grapeseed oil and heat until the oil gets hot. Place crusted salmon filets skin side down and sear, without moving, for two minutes.
- After two minutes, move the entire pan to the oven and bake at 425F for 5-8 minutes, depending on desired done-ness of the fish. Enjoy hot.
