The Best Taco Salad
When you crave taco salad, you make taco salad. Not sure what it was but something in me NEEDED this. It’s a super simple, yet delicious recipe that is perfect for lunch or dinner, any time of the year. Hope you enjoy this one!

The Best Taco Salad
Ingredients
- 1 lb organic free range ground chicken
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1/2 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/8 tsp cayenne
- 1/8 tsp onion powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 limes juiced
- 1 cup vegetable broth can also use chicken broth or water
Salad Ingredients
- 2 cups spinach
- 2 cups of your favorite lettuce
- Basil
- Zucchini
- Sprouts
- Avocado
Instructions
- Add avocado oil to pan
- Add the chicken and cook until browned
- Add the onion and cook until it turns translucent.
- Add all your seasonings
- Cook for two more minutes
- At this point, if you need to add more oil, do so now.
- Add in 1 cup of broth or water and your lime juice.
- Let simmer and keep covered until the liquid is absorbed.
Salad Instructions
- Assemble and eat with your favorite grain free chips (like @sietefoods)!
