Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving all the pasta here in Italy but can definitely tell when my body craves the usual fruits, veggies and nutrients. I was so excited to stock up my house with organic groceries last week and have been making this smoothie every single day. I haven’t found a good Italian or French protein powder so I’m thinking I’ll need to do some research or get my go-tos shipped from the States, but use what you’ve got in the kitchen. Hope you enjoy this one!

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup mixed frozen berries
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1-2 tsp spirulina
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp maca powder
  • 1-2 tbsp almond butter
  • Almond milk or water to reach desired consistency
To garnish
  • Bee pollen

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a high powered blender. Blend until uniform, adding ice or additional liquid as necessary to reach desired consistency.
  2. Pour into a glass and top with bee pollen.
