I’m always on the lookout for new and healthy ways to enjoy my childhood favorites and my Healthy, 5 Ingredient “Twix” Bar is definitely where it’s at. Whether you want a healthy snack or dessert or just something to satisfy your sweet tooth, this recipe will hit the spot every single time. Inspired by @ambitiouskitchen’s dish, rice cakes are layered with creamy nut butter and topped with a delicious honey chocolate coating. Make it this weekend— it couldn’t be easier or more delicious!
Healthy, 5 Ingredient “Twix” Bar
- 1 rice cake
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- Honey to taste
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips I like Lily’s best!
- Sea salt
- Add a saucepan of water to the stove and bring to a boil. Add a glass (or other heat resistant bowl) on top of the boiling water and add chocolate chips, stirring occasionally.
- Stir until all of the chocolate chips are melted. Add honey and mix until sweetened to your liking. Let cool slightly.
- Using a butter knife, spread almond butter on one side of the rice cake. Top with melted chocolate/ honey combination. Finish with sea salt and freeze until the chocolate sets, about 10 minutes.
