Pasta al Limone: Gluten and Dairy Free!


  • 6 oz gluten-free spaghetti noodles use more if cooking for more!
  • 3 tbsp ghee
  • 1 lemon with one half sliced thinly and the other half juiced
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic minced
  • 5-6 leaves of basil sliced thinly
  • 1 small handful parsley minced
  • crushed red pepper flakes to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • Boil a large pot of water and prepare noodles according to package directions.
  • In the meantime, make the sauce. Add the ghee to a pan and the lemon slices. Add in the garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir around until the lemons start to caramelize.
  • Add in half of each the basil and parsley. Sauté for another minute or two.
  • Once the lemons have caramelized, add in the juice of the other half.
  • Once the pasta noodles are finished cooking, drain and add the cooked pasta to the pan with the sauce, stirring to coat the noodles well.
  • To plate, add the pasta and noodles and finish with the remaining amounts of parsley, basil and some fresh lemon zest.
