Shayna’s Kitchen Japanese Certified Organic Elevated Morning Ritual Ceremonial Matcha

Shayna’s Kitchen Japanese Certified Organic Elevated Morning Ritual Ceremonial Matcha

When I worked as a personal chef, I’d drink coffee at 5 AM to get my workout in before my 12-hour workday. As much as I loved the taste and smell of coffee on those early mornings, the jitters and stomach aches led me to research a solution. I was 21 when I discovered ceremonial grade matcha, a superfood used in ancient Japanese tea ceremonies—and it was life-changing

I’ve been in love with matcha for the past 12 years. Inspired by my own daily morning ritual of whisking matcha traditionally, I spent years searching for the best quality and taste around the world to create Shayna’s Kitchen Morning Ritual Ground Matcha. Following its success, my fellow matcha lovers requested a certified organic version. In the spirit of kaizen, continuous improvement, we made that happen!

Shayna’s Kitchen Certified Organic Elevated Morning Ritual Matcha is the highest quality ceremonial grade matcha born from pristine, shade-grown green tea leaves cultivated and meticulously stone ground on a farm in the Kyoto region of Japan. This innovation embraces the philosophy of Shayna’s Kitchen, a promise to uphold the highest standards of purity and sustainability and a commitment to our community of conscientious foodies.

Our Certified Organic Elevated Morning Ritual Matcha honors centuries-old traditions and upholds Japan’s gold standards of impeccable quality and taste, while meeting the Japanese Agricultural Standards (JAS) of organic certification. Free from chemicals and genetic modifications, JAS-certified organic products are recognized as equivalent to USDA-certified organic. Shayna’s Kitchen certified organic matcha is single origin and sourced exclusively from one farm. Ceremonial matcha that is both organic and single origin is exceptionally rare in Japan due to the prevalence of blended matcha, often from different farms and even different countries. Ceremonial grade is a distinction only awarded to certain matcha powders of superior color, flavor, and texture: a bright green powder that is sweet with no bitterness, finely ground and easy to dissolve and transform into a silky froth with water. Lower grades of matcha are often bitter, chalky, and not sourced from Japan.

Matcha Health Benefits For Body & Mind

Ceremonial matcha tea contains around 120 times the antioxidant content of steeped green tea. The anti-inflammatory polyphenol Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) is a bioactive, disease-fighting catechin believed to combat cancer cell growth and prevent the formation and growth of new blood vessels in tumors. EGCG is the most abundant catechin in green tea, accounting for around 50-75% of its total catechin content.

Matcha is gentler and less acidic than coffee, which was super important in my gut health transformation. It’s practically calorie-free, and studies have found it to boost your metabolism and fat-burning efficiency without raising your blood pressure or heart rate the way that coffee does. Matcha is notable for helping Buddhist monks maintain deep concentration during meditation. Alongside caffeine and theophylline, the soothing effects of amino acid L-theanine provide a more sustained and balanced source of energy than coffee and without the jitters or crashes.

Its delicate earthy aroma of pure green, fragrant euphoria mixes and blends effortlessly into recipes. Enjoy its antioxidant abundance and incredibly smooth sweetness in an olive oil matcha latte, almond milk latte, chewy cookies, tiramisu, or french toast!
